University of Scarborough - SAMIH Facility
The new SAMIH facility at the University of Toronto Scarborough will be a state-of-the-art centre for medical education and clinical training, supporting Ontario’s medical school expansion and serving as a hub for healthcare education in the Eastern GTA.
Plan Group is delivering the full electrical, mechanical, and technology scopes for the 160,000 sq. ft. facility. Our work includes power distribution, lighting, fire protection, HVAC, plumbing, structured cabling, security, and audiovisual systems, delivered under a fast-tracked design-build model in partnership with EllisDon.
SERVICES
To drive efficiency, our VDC and prefabrication teams are applying advanced planning and delivery methods. Notably, a redesigned chiller plant proposed by Plan Group reduced project costs while maintaining strict energy performance targets.
