At Toronto’s iconic Fairmont Royal York Hotel, we played a central role in the retrofit of North America's largest heritage hotel. Initially built in 1929, this 28-floor, 1.3 million sq. ft. landmark welcomes over 1.5 million guests annually. Our work involved integrating modern mechanical systems within the building’s historic infrastructure—reducing emissions by over 7,000 tonnes of carbon annually. That’s an 80% reduction in the hotel’s total emissions, equivalent to removing 1,558 cars from the road each year. The project earned the Canada Green Building Council's Zero Carbon Building Performance Standard certification.

From our job sites to offices, we're committed to minimizing our footprint, cutting carbon, reducing waste, conserving water, and supporting biodiversity. We continue to invest in smarter practices and sustainable technologies that help us work cleaner and more responsibly.
Our project-based recycling program has diverted 54% of non-hazardous waste from landfills, helping drive more sustainable construction practices across every site. We’ve also made major strides in green mobility. With 24 free charging stations available to employees and a growing fleet of 14 EVs and 40 hybrids, we support cleaner commutes and smarter energy use. On average, we see over 450 charging sessions a month, avoiding 186,484 kg of greenhouse gas emissions, the equivalent of planting 4,782 trees.

We regularly visit local secondary schools, bringing hands-on, interactive activities that inspire students to explore careers in the construction industry.
