Embracing the ethos of sustainability embedded within Trinity College's Integrated Sustainability Initiative, the Lawson Centre set its sights on achieving LEED Platinum certification.
Through meticulous design and the implementation of cutting-edge sustainable technologies, the building not only preserved the timeless character of the campus but also significantly enhanced its operational efficiency. Upon completion, the Lawson Centre became much more than a student residence; it emerged as a vibrant hub for learning, collaboration, and community engagement. Featuring versatile communal spaces, state-of-the-art dining facilities, seminar rooms, and faculty offices, every aspect of the centre was thoughtfully designed to foster innovation, connection, and environmental stewardship.

Our team was honoured to play a pivotal role in bringing this vision to life. As the providers of the electrical, mechanical, and technological infrastructure, we delivered excellence across every aspect of the project. Awarded the design-assist partnership for Phase 1, our team demonstrated its expertise in value engineering, working closely with Graham Construction to help realize the client's goals.
In Phase 2, we successfully implemented our innovative solutions onsite. From intuitive Building Automation Systems and energy-efficient lighting to the integration of geothermal mechanical systems, our work supported the Lawson Centre's sustainability objectives, helping position the project to achieve LEED Platinum certification while exceeding the Canadian Green Building Council's Zero Carbon Building Standards.
