Humber College Cultural Hub
The Humber Cultural Hub is a unique and innovative facility that is set to become an epicenter of creativity in the Greater Toronto Area.
Plan Group is integrating mass timber in the residence structure for all mechanical (homeostatic, hydronic, HVAC, BAS (Building Automated System), electrical (power, lighting, fire alarm) and technology (communication, audio & video) systems by surface mounting all piping and conduits.
SERVICES
Mass timber offers several benefits over traditional building materials, including sustainability, structural strength, and fire resistance. It is also a renewable resource and can be sourced locally, reducing transportation costs and emissions reinforcing the project's commitment to sustainability.
For students, industry and the community alike, the building will be filled with professional-grade multimedia projection and post-production facilities, music labs, 3D animation spaces and more that will help them bring their creative ideas alive. Then, when students and the community are ready to put on their show, they can do so in one of two performance halls (600 and 150 seat capacities), and both will be equipped with biometric monitoring and projection mapping technologies.
