CNL Building 350 Laboratory Complex
Plan Group played a crucial role in bringing to life a remarkable two-story facility, boasting over 137,000 square feet of licensed laboratory space (Class C), along with office and meeting rooms, and material storage areas.
The new building serves as a cornerstone of CNL's Centre of Excellence in Materials and Chemistry, housing specialized research facilities such as the Chemistry and Corrosion Material Loops Facility, Decontamination and Chemical Cleaning Facility, and the Chemical and Corrosion Autoclave Test Facility. These cutting-edge laboratories are instrumental in addressing industrial challenges within the nuclear sector and beyond.
SERVICES
As a key member of the project team, Plan Group took on various critical tasks, including the construction of a new laboratory building comprising three chemistry labs and support facilities within "Controlled Area 1". This meticulous work involved intricate details on a concrete foundation, structural steel frame, and a fuel-fired heating system.
Plan Group ensured smooth execution and quality control by utilizing prefabricated wiring systems, detailed wiring diagrams, and in-house produced layout prints early in the project lifecycle. Rigorous labor tracking further contributed to the project's success, enhancing efficiency and accountability.
