Baggage Handling - Terminal 1 Pearson Airport
The project aimed to improve the baggage handling capacity of Terminal 1 of Pearson Airport in Toronto, which serves millions of passengers every year. Plan Group was responsible for upgrading and reconfiguring the Terminal Baggage Handling systems and security scanning equipment to meet the growing demands of one of North America's busiest airports.
With the installation of new baggage radiation detector equipment and three state-of-the-art tilt tray sorters, we were able to revolutionize the terminal's baggage handling capabilities. These enhancements optimized sorting efficiency and created a more compact conveyor area, significantly improving the overall operational flow within the facility.
