Plan Group has been named the Electrical and Technology subcontractor for this exciting new project, which is part of Infrastructure Ontario’s Accelerated Build Pilot Program. The program aims to construct these critically important facilities in a matter of months, not years, through a range of measures including modular construction, prefabricated assemblies, rapid procurement and the use of existing hospital land.
The new long-term care home is designed for approximately 320 beds, which will greatly improve the capacity issues currently faced within Ontario‘s long-term care system. Because it is part of this fast-track program, construction on the facility is already underway. We’re thrilled to be working with PCL, Parkin and G Architects, and Quasar to bring this bold new facility to life.
